MG4 iSMART app launches in Turkey at 2,250 TL a year

The MG4 iSMART service became available in Turkey in October 2026. The system lets owners manage many functions of the electric car remotely from a smartphone. The service covers all versions of the MG4 and is offered through Doğan Trend Otomotiv.

MG4 iSMART remote control features

MG iSMART runs on a mobile app for iOS and Android. Users download the app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account and pair their car with it. All remote actions are protected by a security PIN.

The app can lock and unlock the doors, start the air conditioning and show the battery status in real time. A digital key allows the doors to be controlled and the car to be started without a physical key. The car's location can be displayed on a map. To help drivers find their vehicle in crowded car parks, the horn and headlights can be activated remotely. The app also shows whether the doors are locked and whether the boot and bonnet are closed.

Drivers can also monitor tyre pressures, the electric steering system, airbags, battery voltage and cabin temperature through the app.

Charging management and climate control

Drivers can see the battery's state of charge and estimated remaining range in the app. If the car is connected to a charging station, charging can be started remotely. During charging, the app shows the current power and the estimated time left until charging is complete. The climate system can also be switched on before a journey to heat or cool the cabin.

iSMART subscription fee and activation

To use the service, owners need to apply at MG authorised dealers or service points across Turkey. After activation, the account is paired in the mobile app.

The service is sold on a paid subscription basis. MG4 owners who apply by 30 November 2026 can get one year of service for 2,250 TL, a nine-month fee. The manufacturer has not announced the standard subscription price after the campaign ends or the renewal fees for later years.
