Basbug Group opens Nerex Automaterialen spare parts operation in the Netherlands

Basbug Group, which operates in the automotive aftermarket, has started up Nerex Automaterialen, its new operation in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam. The company began work at its headquarters on Nieuw-Zeelandweg in the Westpoort district of Amsterdam. The announcement was made on October 23, 2026.

Nerex Automaterialen will supply spare parts to workshops and automotive professionals in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The company says it aims to offer fast, accessible and tailored solutions to its customers in the region. The digital platform at nerex.nl also went live when operations began.

Nerex Automaterialen's growth plan

The initial focus will be the Greater Amsterdam area. There, the company plans to build a distribution network based on fast delivery, a competitive product range, high parts availability and personal customer service. Over the longer term, the company intends to extend its Amsterdam-based operation to other parts of the Netherlands and grow into a wider national network.

Albin Steinbach, Basbug Group's commercial director for the Netherlands, said the new setup is more than a commercial operation and represents a long-term growth vision for the Dutch market. Steinbach said the company set up Nerex to become a reliable partner for workshops and automotive professionals. He added that speed, parts availability, service quality and strong partnerships are becoming increasingly important in the aftermarket.
