Antonelli wins US Grand Prix from pole as Leclerc and Verstappen complete the podium

Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli started from pole position and won the 2026 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. The Italian completed the race in 1:35:16.650 and took 25 points.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished second, 13.078 seconds behind Antonelli. He started fourth. Leclerc set the fastest lap of the race, 1:37.976, but it earned him no extra point because he was outside the top ten. He took 18 points. Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who started second, completed the podium in third, 17.485 seconds back.

US GP results: top 10

Lewis Hamilton took fourth, 18.515 seconds behind the winner. Lando Norris started eighth and gained three places to finish fifth, 30.521 seconds adrift. Isack Hadjar, who started third, came home sixth. Oscar Piastri was seventh, while George Russell, who started sixth, finished eighth. Liam Lawson (ninth) and Pierre Gasly (tenth) claimed the last two points-paying positions.

Nico Hülkenberg was 11th, Arvid Lindblad 12th and Gabriel Bortoleto 13th. Valtteri Bottas, Franco Colapinto and Oliver Bearman did not finish.

Drivers' and constructors' championship standings

After the race, Antonelli leads the drivers' standings with 365 points. Russell is second on 242, Hamilton third on 241, Verstappen fourth on 236, Leclerc fifth on 233 and Norris sixth on 211.

In the constructors' standings, Mercedes lead with 607 points. Ferrari are second on 474, while Red Bull and McLaren are level on 355 in third and fourth. RB F1 Team are fifth with 102 points.

According to The Race, Antonelli has not yet clinched the title with this result, but he has taken a major step towards his first Formula 1 championship.
